SWC PADDLE OUTINGS

Paddle sports activities are promoted by the Northern New York Paddlers,  a group which actively participates in events promoted by New York Paddlers Racing Association.

Monday Night Paddling on the Mohawk

Join us at 6:00 PM any Monday evening May thru September for paddling on the Mohawk. We start at Kiwanis Park in Rotterdam. Some canoes and paddles are available but if you have a life vest (PFD) you should bring it along. 

Wednesday Night at Aqueduct Park

Time Trials will be held on Wednesdays at Aqueduct Park (where Route 146 crosses the Mohawk at Rexford). Registration is 6 pm and start is 6:30pm. This is a 3.6 mile race against the clock. Cost is $10.00, but free to SWC members.

Canoe and Kayak Races

The Northern New York Paddlers sponsor several club races through out the season. Newbies, novices, sometimers, manytimers, real fast paddlers, semi slow paddlers, serious paddlers and glad to have finished paddlers are all encouraged to attend. 

Participants should have a life vest (PFD).
