Saturday August 29th was a great day for a hike, and several of us joined for the trek up Vrooman’s Nose in Middleburgh, arranged by Mike Schaefer. If you’ve never experienced the Nose I suggest you put it on your list of hikes to complete. It’s a short hike, great for families and quite popular. The view at the large flat rock area is magnificent and we happened to enjoy that view exactly 15 years and 1 day after the flood waters of Irene had devastated the valley. Our hiking group consisted of a blend of familiar faces and those we had never met before. Nice job Mike, I’m looking forward to the next hikes you have planned.
